West Coast Daisies is a hand-painted flower pattern I created during the spring of 2023 in South Africa. Every year the coastal region is covered with carpets of white Namaqualand daisies and the print is inspired by the town where my studio is based.
The design is minimalist and abstract and printed on a sandy neutral beige – the warm yellow accents holding the promise of a new summer season by the ocean.

The pattern also works well for home decor. It’s somehow both modern and retro, making it a good fit for those embracing the casual and relaxed coastal grandmother, or even coastal granddaughter, vintage style trend. The design is minimalist and clean — and great for those who prefer neutral colours rather than brighter blues, but who still want to create a laid-back beach house style.

The pattern is available on a large range of products — on both Society6 and Redbubble — but if you’re interested in one of the options featured here, you can click on the image or the links in the captions below.
What do you think? Are you glad the nautical style from the noughties is back?
